Ankeny School Board Candidates to Take Part in Forum Sunday
Four incumbents and four challengers are on the ballot for the Sept. 13 Ankeny school board election.
Ankeny voters can question the eight candidates for school board at a forum Sunday night.
Incumbents Aaron Johnson, Andrew Martin, Trent Murphy and Leslie Petersen are seeking re-election Sept. 13. They face challengers Stephanie Jorgensen, Dustin Graber, Brad Huss and Mike Rooney.
According to the school district's website, the candidate forum will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Ankeny High School Auditorium, 1155 S.W. Cherry St.

To reach the new school take Ankeny Boulevard to Magazine Road, and Magazine Road west to the high school.
The forum is open to the public; residents and parents of school-aged children are encouraged to attend and to ask questions of the candidates seeking election.

The event is sponsored by the Elementary Parent Teacher Organizations and the Ankeny Parents' Association.
