Northeast Elementary
The second graders at Northeast Elementary have been working on a new building wide behavior system (PBIS). Each student is able to earn a ticket for positive behavior that teachers use to acknowledge the school wide expectations of we are safe, responsible, respectful, and a team. In addition students can work together as a team in their classrooms and are acknowledged by earning a fun day. Pictured is Mrs. Knudsen's class earning a pajama day!

Pictured are the Northeast Elementary Jaguars of the Week. Each week every classroom teacher gets to nominate a Jaguar of the Week from their class. The teachers are always on the lookout for students that are doing a great job of being respectful, responsible, safe and a great member of their classroom team.

Northwest Elementary
Northwest kindergarten students are off to a great start this year. All of our kids are into a great routine and we are so excited to be using PBIS at our school. The kids are earning so many individual and class tickets for being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe. We are also excited to be piloting a new Social Studies Curriculum called Social Studies Alive, Me and My World by TCi. We are looking forward to a great year.
Parkview Middle School
Expeditions begin September 11. Please access the website to download the registration form and turn into the office. First session offerings include Chinese, Ankeny Trail Biking, Diggin’ Archeology, Competitive Activities and Let’s Go Fishing.
Student Picture Re-take Date will be September 17. Our students had their fall school pictures during schedule pick-up days in August. If you weren’t happy with the pictures you received, please bring back that picture package when you have your picture retaken. If you didn’t have your picture taken and want to purchase a picture packet, please bring your picture order form along with payment.
Prairie Trail Elementary
Students at Prairie Trail Elementary invited author Ryan Sloth to share his Sammy Sloth books. Coach Sloth is a native Iowan who played football for the Iowa State Cyclones and Iowa Barnstormers.
