The City of Ankeny announced today it is postponing swim lesson registration until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The City of Ankeny announced today it is postponing swim lesson registration until further notice due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Sales for aquatic center passes are on hold until further notice. Opening day for the aquatic centers, swimming lessons and all programming offered at the pools will be evaluated in mid-May and changes will be communicated once the details have been determined.

In addition, the EMS Week Community Open House, Special Needs EMS Week Open House and the Pancake Breakfast have been canceled.

When will you decide on a new swim lesson registration date?
A new date for swim lesson registration will be determined in mid-May. Changes will be communicated through the City website www.ankenyiowa.gov and on Facebook, Twitter and NextDoor.
Can I sign up for swimming lessons in person?
Once a date has been determined, swimming lesson registration will be done online this year. If you are unable to complete registration online, please contact our office.
What if I already bought my aquatic center pass?
The City will be communicating directly with 2020 Aquatic Center season pass holders once an opening date is determined. If the opening date is later than originally planned, prorated discounts and refunds will be communicated at that time.
Can I buy an aquatic center season pass now?
Aquatic season passes are not for sale at this time.
Can I reserve the pool for an event this summer?
Pool party reservations are not being accepted at this time.
Can I sign up for a special event at the aquatic center?
Registration for aquatic center programming is on hold at this time.
