Ankeny Traffic: Lane Closures Planned Thursday for First Street Intersection

Ankeny motorists should plan for possible delays at a First Street intersection Thursday.

Two lanes at the intersection of West First and School streets will be closed in order for crews to repair a water valve. The closure will begin at 5:30 a.m. Thursday and lanes will reopen on Friday, Aug. 10.

During the closure, traffic will still be able to travel east and west; however, north and south and left turns will not be possible during the street work.
