Ankeny Update: Cascade Falls Aquatic Center Will Reopen On July 28

July 27 Update: Cascade Falls Aquatic Center will resume normal operation tomorrow, Tuesday, July 28, 2020.

The City of Ankeny announced today that Cascade Falls Aquatic Center is partially closed effective immediately due to damages incurred when an individual or individuals broke into and vandalized the facility overnight. Damages included broken glass on the deck and in the pool. As a result, portions of the aquatic center will be closed until further notice to allow the pools to be drained, cleaned and refilled for safety precautions. Any patron who has reserved time for open swim or lap swim will receive a credit to their account. Cascade Falls Aquatic Center remains open for water walking only. We will make another announcement when Cascade Falls Aquatic Center will reopen fully and begin accepting reservations for open swim and lap swim again.

The Ankeny Youth Triathlon, scheduled for Saturday, July 25, will still go on as planned, utilizing other areas of the facility. For those who are registered for swim lessons beginning Monday, July 27, any modifications to your schedule will be communicated to you directly.
