Ankeny Youth Can Participate in March Madness

March is the greatest month for basketball enthusiasts. To celebrate March Madness, the Parks and Recreation department is hosting a day full of basketball contests, a basketball themed movie and more for 2nd – 6th graders on Thursday, March 21.

Participants will be able to compete in a variety of basketball contests including dribble derby, free-throws, relays and more. A basketball themed movie will be shown to conclude the day. Prizes will be awarded and lunch will be provided!

March Madness will be held at Prairie Ridge Middle School; tip-off for the event is 11:30 a.m. with the horn sounding at 4 p.m. The fee is $15 per resident and $20 per non-resident, with a registration deadline of March 14.
