Annual Ankeny Prom Dress Giveaway Now Accepting Donations
Project Fresh Start is now accepting new and used gowns for the March event.

Prom can be expensive, but once again several Ankeny organizations are making it a little easier for local girls to get a dress.
Project Fresh Start is now accepting donated gowns for its annual prom dress giveaway to be held in March, according to The Des Moines Register. The group is working in conjunction with the Ankeny Area Chamber of Commerce and the Ankeny Service Center.
“Our goal is that no young lady should have to miss the prom because they can’t afford a dress,” project organizer Dave Kissinger told the Register. “We want the prom to be a night to remember.”
