Another Day, Another Scandal. Actually, more than one.

How many more scandals will come to light?

The scandals keep coming for this administration.  CBS News is reporting that they have "uncovered documents that show the State Department may have covered up allegations of illegal and inappropriate behavior within their ranks"

More detail:  "The Diplomatic Security Service, or the DSS, is the State Department's security force, charged with protecting the secretary of state and U.S. ambassadors overseas and with investigating any cases of misconduct on the part of the 70,000 State Department employees worldwide."

An internal State Department Inspector General report shows that  several recent investigations were stopped or manipulated.  One of these investigations was on a security official in Beirut “engaged in sexual assaults” on foreign nationals hired as embassy guards".  Another that Secretary of State Clinton's security detail "engaged prostitutes while on official trips in foreign countries”.  The IG noted that problem was “endemic.”  Another investigation was on an underground drug ring in Baghdad that supplied State Department employees with drugs.  There is much more detail and more examples in CBS News's story.

In his Congressional testimony, State Department whistleblower Eric Nordstrom stated that the Accountability Review Board purposefully pushed responsibility onto lower level career employees as a way to protect the elites and squash scandals.  This behavior would be consistent with that testimony.

But that's not the only new scandal surfacing.  There are 4 separate scandals going on at the EPA.  Former EPA head Lisa Jackson resigned last year because of her use of a fake account she used to conduct official business.  One of the investigations is about how that alias won an EPA award for ethics.  Another investigation is on how the EPA targeting conservative groups for disfavored treatment.  A third one is on how it was possible that EPA contractors were able to turn an EPA warehouse into man caves and a gym for their personal use.  The forth is on the EPA having leaded personal information of farm and cattle facilities to environmental activists.  Gee, looking at the EPA scandals, do you see a pattern there with what is happening with other scandals?  I sure do.

Even some of the already known scandals have more information coming out.  The claims that the government isn't recording your phone conversations and listening to them is just silly, and examples like this from 2008 where someone had one of his personal calls played back to him by an FBI consultant.  They even had the ability to listen in real-time.  In 2008, now it's 5 years later, and the technology and the scale of that project has expanded greatly.

The Obama administration on Tuesday tried to heal it's relationship with the press by trying to smooze them in a secret meeting.  They know things are going badly for them, and they are trying to curry favor with a press that may be waking up and realizing what is going on.

The choice for you to make is to decide whether the whistle blowers are telling the truth, making this one of the most corrupt administrations in history, or the administration is telling the truth, which makes them one of the most incompetent administrations in history.  There is no in between on this one.
