A Big Hunk O’ Love for Elvis

Elvis was in the house — Vintage Hills at Prairie Trail in Ankeny — swinging his hips and serenading the residents at the retirement community. The live impersonation of The King of Rock and Roll was a musical trip down memory lane.

“We have fun here, but I’d say this was on another level,” said Kristen Canham, Executive Director at Vintage Hills at Prairie Trail, “I think that’s the effect Elvis and his impersonators have always had.”

Beverly Wagner, a resident of Vintage Hills, exclaimed, “Elvis was just wonderful, and it was the best day I’ve had in a long time!”

Elvis’ hips weren’t the only twist, Vintage Hills’ Chef Eli Rosenberg transformed some favorite treats like peanut butter banana cake and Hawaiian Punch for the show. It certainly was a Rockin’ good time!
