City Of Ankeny Announces Revised Parks And Recreation Program And Events Schedule
Registration is now available for the following summer programs. Deadlines are quickly approaching as programs begin in June.

The City of Ankeny is pleased to announce a revised summer schedule for programming and events now being offered by the Parks & Recreation Department. The department has proactively identified and established safety protocols with significant changes to its operations to best ensure everyone’s well-being. Information will be emailed to all program participants in advance of a programs start date outlining new guidance and safety measures that are now in place.

- Youth Tennis Clinics
- Lego Engineering
- Wildlife Explorers
- Martial Arts
- Junior & Pee Wee Golf
- Creative Geniuses Summer Art Program (Virtual Offering)
Adult sports leagues are now being offered with a modified shortened season. These leagues are scheduled to start the week of June 22 and the registration deadline is June 15. Register online at www.ankenyiowa.gov/register.

- Adult Kickball
- Adult Pickleball
Yoga in the Park returns to Wagner Park on June 20 and will continue every Saturday from 8 – 9 a.m. through Sept. 5. Registration is not required.
Movies Under the Stars will be offered with new capacity restrictions limiting space to 64 groups spaced 6 ft. apart to ensure social distancing. Movies start at dusk and are held at Wagner Park. Schedule includes:
- June 19 Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker
- June 26 Frozen 2
- July 3 Secret Life of Pets 2
- July 10 E.T.
- July 17 The Little Mermaid
- July 24 Toy Story 4
- July 31 Abominable
