- Trees and branches need to be placed along the curb in the right-of-way area.
- Crews will not be collecting material that is outside the right-of-way area.
- There is not a schedule for curbside pickup. The damage is wide spread throughout the entire Ankeny community, it's hard to estimate how long each neighborhood will take depending on the amount of downed trees and branches.
- Garden vegetation, incidental trimmings and branches from trees not damaged by the storm should not be placed out for the special tree debris collection.
- Do not block fire hydrants, mailboxes or utility boxes.
- Contact your private trash hauler for yard waste and smaller debris.
- No tree material from work done by private contractors should be placed on the right-of-way for collection. Contractors are required to haul away any tree debris that is a result of their work.
It is estimated that the entire process of curbside pickup will take 4 to 6 weeks to complete. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
