City Of Ankeny Now Offers Online Pet Licensing And Dog Park Passes

The City of Ankeny is pleased to announce it is now offering online pet licensing. The City has partnered with PetData to offer this new service to Ankeny residents. Residents can also purchase Dog Park passes online. To license and/or purchase a dog park pass online visit www.ankenyiowa.gov/pet. Multiple pets can be registered at the same time and required documents are uploaded easily.

Beginning July 1, the license fee for a spayed or neutered pet is $15 and unaltered pets is $25. Dog park passes are $25 for Ankeny residents, and $35 for nonresidents. All major credit cards are accepted. Dog Park season passes may be purchased with the license or added on at a later time. Tags will be mailed to the resident directly from PetData.

Licenses and Dog Park passes are valid for the calendar year; expiring on Dec. 31 of the year purchased. Ankeny residents are required to license pets annually per City ordinance. A proof of rabies vaccination is required. Ankeny residents are allowed up to four dogs, four cats or a combination not exceeding four animals per household on a residential lot.
