City Of Ankeny Receives National Awards For Financial Reporting

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has presented the Finance Department at the City of Ankeny with a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its fiscal year 2018 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). This is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. This is the 17th consecutive year the Ankeny Finance Department has received this award.

GFOA also presented the Ankeny Finance Department with an Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting for its Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) for fiscal year 2018. The Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting is a prestigious national award recognizing conformance with the highest standards for preparation of state and local government popular reports. This is the fourth consecutive year the Ankeny Finance Department has received this award.
