City Of Ankeny: SE Delaware Avenue Northbound Lanes Street Patching Starts Aug. 22

The City of Ankeny will begin an extensive patching project on the northbound lanes on SE Delaware Avenue, between SE Oralabor Road and SE Magazine Road, beginning Sunday, Aug. 22 at 9 p.m. Stage 1 work will require full nighttime closures, 9 p.m. – 7 a.m., of the northbound lanes between SE Oralabor Road and SE Lorenz Drive and will last approximately two weeks. Stage 2 work will require full nighttime closures, 9 p.m. – 7 a.m., of the northbound lanes, along with single-lane daytime closures of the northbound lanes, between SE Lorenz Drive and SE Magazine Road and will last approximately six weeks.

Access at the major intersections of SE National Drive, SE Lorenz Drive, SE Shurfine Drive, and SE 16th Court will be maintained at all times. A signed detour will be posted during the nighttime closures. The work is expected to be completed in October. For more information about this project visit www.ankenyiowa.gov/construction.
