DART to donate three RideShare vans to non-profit organizations
Applications due September 11
DART will donate three retired RideShare vans to nonprofit organizations, community groups or government agencies within DART’s service area this fall. Applications are due September 11. The van donation program is an annual process that DART began in 2014.
“There are people not yet served by DART who have unmet transit needs. We hope that granting retired RideShare vanpool vehicles to these organizations helps meet some of these needs, providing better public transportation within DART’s service area with a pay-it-forward spirit,” explains Elizabeth Presutti, DART General Manager.
The application, rules and requirements, and selection criteria for the program are available at http://www.ridedart.com/services/rideshare/resources under “Applications.”
