DART invites public to meetings for input on future transit plans Feb. 29-March 2
Part of transit authority's update of master plan for public transit
Des Moines, Iowa – Feb. 17, 2016) – Community members are invited to a series of eight public meetings and three drop-by meetings Feb. 29–March 2, 2016, to give input about future plans for transit in the region.
DART is updating the region’s master plan for public transit, DART Forward 2035. Adopted in 2011, the long-range plan is being updated at this five-year mark to ensure the plan meets the needs of the community’s growing and changing population.
Public meetings will include a short presentation and a comment period. During drop-by meetings, DART staff will be available for an extended time period to gather input on public transit in a timeframe that suits a variety of schedules.
