Obamacare has been described by some of those who voted for it as a "train wreck". The administration has said they plan to delay implementation of parts of the law because they aren't ready to go yet. The administration is picking and choosing who gets waivers from being forced to follow Obamacare mandates. The administration is spending hundreds of millions of dollars on marketing for Obamacare because polls show that not only do people not like it, they don't think it will lower costs, which was the reason for doing the law in the first place.
Based upon the president's decision to delay the large company mandates in Obamacare, the House decided to push a bill which would not only delay the implementation of the large company mandate, it would delay all the other mandates as well.
But the president opposes that bill which would do exactly what he stated. Why?
Because the president wants to show that he doesn't need Congress. With the administrations actions to grant waivers around the law, with their action to delay the implementation of the law, they are saying they are not accountable to Congress. They can pick and choose the laws they want to enforce, they can pick and choose who is required to follow the laws they do choose to enforce, and they can even make up new laws in the form of regulations that they don't need Congress to pass.
This is what is more commonly known as a "dictator": one holding complete autocratic control.
It's time to let the Congress know that the Constitution still matters. It's time to let the Congress know we don't want Obamacare. It's time to let the Congress know we will support them when they actually do what the people want.
