District Ready to Put Final Touches on Ankeny Centennial High School
The district took possession of the new high school Tuesday, which is slated to open in August for the 2013-14 school year.
In addition to finalizing next year's Ankeny school district budget and tax rate, the school board also found out Monday night that construction on Ankeny Centennial High School is substantially complete.
The Ankeny school board voted Monday night to finalize the contract on the new school, according to The Des Moines Register. The new high school was completed two months ahead of schedule, the article said.
The district took possession of the building Tuesday.

“There’s lot of work to be done on our half now,” Simpkins said at the meeting. “Now it’s our turn to get the building outfitted.”
