DMACC President Plans to Stay at College for Five More Years
Des Moines Area Community College president Rob Denson planned to retire at the age of 66, but told the Des Moines Business Record he plans to work longer.

Even though DMACC President Rob Denson originally said he wanted to retire at age 66, the college will be seeing more of its leader in the coming years.
According to the Des Moines Business Record, Denson said he plans to stay in his role at DMACC for another five years. Denson, who has been president since 2003, told the Business Record good health, family support and a love of the job has made him rethink that target.
Denson is on a rolling three-year contract with the college, the article said, which will not change, but "this is just something I've informed the board and anybody who's asked; that's just kind of my target (to retire at the age of 70)," he told the Business Record.
