Early-Morning Accident Between Ankeny and Bondurant Totals Pickup
No injuries were reported as a result of the accident along Northeast 94th Street between Ankeny and Bondurant. Both drivers were ticketed by sheriff's deputies.
A pickup truck was totaled and a car seriously damaged in a two-vehicle accident at about 7:15 a.m. today along Northeast 94th Avenue between Ankeny and Bondurant, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputy Robert Burnett reported that the driver of the Chevrolet pickup truck was headed west when he crossed the center line and sideswiped a KIA. The pickup ended up in the ditch and the car, which was eastbound, ended up further down the road before it stopped.
The driver of the pickup truck, Joshua Carrington, 31, of Bondurant, was cited for driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway. The driver of the car, Benjamin Halder, 20, also of Bonduring, was cited for driving with a suspended license, according to Sgt. Jana Rooker.

Neither driver was injured, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
