Interested in creating rich, masterful, vibrant paintings? Knowledge of how to use color is essential for creating successful paintings; a new 4-week workshop offered by Parks & Recreation will teach students everything they need to know about color including how to replicate any color they see and use color to achieve a wide variety of effects. Artists of any skill level are welcome.
Adult Painting & Color Workshop will be offered on Mondays from January 30 through February 20 at 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. Class will be held at the Outdoor Education Center, located at 610 NE 36th Street.
Cost is $40 for residents and $48 for non-residents. Students are required to purchase their own supplies prior to the workshop; a list of supplies can be obtained from the Parks & Recreation Office. The registration deadline is January 20 and can be done online at www.ankenyiowa.gov or by calling 963-3570.
