Ankeny 5K/1 Mile Fun Run & Health Fair

The Ankeny Physical Education and Health Team, along with Iowa Health, is excited to host the second annual Ankeny Get Up and Get Fit 5K/1 Mile Fun Run and Health Fair from 12:30-3 p.m. on Sunday, May 6.  The event is open to the public and is an excellent opportunity to get out and enjoy a day of exercise as a family. 

The Health Fair, hosted by Iowa Health Physicians & Clinics, will feature the Blank Children’s Hospital Fire Safety House and Kohl’s Healthy Kids Program.

Entry fees are $10 for Ankeny students and staff, $15 for the general public, and $30 for race-day registration.  There is a $50 family maximum registration charge.  Entry fee includes a t-shirt, a packet of goodies, refreshments and a raffle ticket.

Fun run packets can be picked up the day of the race from 12:30-1:45 p.m. at Prairie Ridge Middle School, 1010 N.W. Prairie Ridge Dr. in Ankeny.  Registration is also from 12:30-1:45 p.m. with fun runs beginning at 2 p.m.
