The Ankeny Area Historical Society will holding it’s last of the season monthly open house on November 6, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at their two museums located at 301 SW Third St.
You will find a century-old 2-story farmhouse and a replica barn filled with artifacts and displays that brings the area’s past to life. Toys from the past await you in the house. In the barn, tools used for farming, country kitchen and country school. Try your hand at sending a message by Morse Code or talk to your friend on the phone powered by only a 9-volt battery in our Telecommunications Display.
