ArtShare Premiere

Veridian Credit Union will host its annual ArtShare Premiere on Thursday, Jan. 12 from 4-6 p.m. at 1201 S. Ankeny Blvd. in Ankeny. Select students from will have the opportunity to share their work with family, friends and the community at the event. The public is invited to attend the premiere. There is no cost to attend, and hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served.

There are 23 original works of art by Ankeny High School students on display at Veridian. The mediums range from digital photography and graphic design to paintings and pottery.

“We have some talented students in our community,” said Michele Starkenburg, branch supervisor of Veridian’s Ankeny branch. “This program allows Veridian to provide a place to display this original artwork, and let the students know our community values their talents.”

It’s the 10th anniversary of Veridian’s ArtShare program. The ArtShare Premiere in Ankeny is held in conjunction with the Ankeny Chamber’s January Business After Hours event. The works of art will continue to be on display through December 2012 and can be viewed anytime during regular business hours.
