The Ankeny City Council will hold its annual strategic planning retreat from 12-5 p.m. at the Pinnacle Club, located at in Ankeny. The retreat is at time when council members and other city officials take a look at how far the city has come and where it will go next, said city public relations director Deb Dyar.
Ankeny residents are allowed to attend but may not participate in the discussion. Dyar said the structure of the retreat is similar to a council work session. Lyle Sumek will moderate the discussion.
