Great news! For those who missed the first session of the Ankeny Dog Park’s Behavior Education series – it’s not too late to enroll!
Designed to help ensure a safe and positive dog park experience, the schedule has been revised to allow more participants to take advantage of the program.
- Saturday, June 16, from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Canine Craze Performance Center ~ Part B of Reading Dog Behavior. This 4-hour session will include more detailed pictures, descriptions, videos, visual aids and discussion in preparation for our Ankeny Dog Park site visit. - Saturday, July 14, from 9:00 a.m.-Noon at the Ankeny Dog Park ~ Identifying Dog Signals and Dog-Dog Introductions. Two sessions have been COMBINED for an observation and interactive session at the Ankeny Dog Park with participants’ dogs and professional trainers to facilitate greetings and interpret communication in action! (Please note extended hours; actual length of session will depend on heat and number of dogs. Pre-requisite: Reading Dog Behavior.)
