Expert to Speak on Villisca Murder Case

Almost 99 years ago, two adults and six children were found brutally murdered in their beds in the small mid-western town of Villisca, Iowa. The crime was never solved.

Dr. Edgar Epperly began researching the murders as a college student in the fifties and will be speaking at an event hosted by on Thursday, October 27 at 7 p.m. To accommodate a large expected attendance, the program will be held at DMACC Auditorium in Building #6 on the DMACC campus.

Epperly traveled to Villisca for the first time in 1955 with two friends where they interviewed Dr. Cooper, the first physician to examine the victims and the crime scene. His research into the crime is ongoing. He is co-authoring a book with Tammy and Kelly Rundle on the famous unsolved murder and is the primary consultant on the documentary, "Villisca: Living With a Mystery."
