Each fall Ankeny First United Methodist Church offers a youth “Skills and Drills” program for boys and girls in Kindergarten through fifth grades. This program works on the fundamentals of basketball including dribbling, shooting, and being a team player. Youth basketball is open to everyone in the community, not just those who attend AFUMC. Each session will include a brief devotion. All registered kids will receive a t-shirt.
“Skills and Drills” will run from October 9 – November 14. Sessions are scheduled as follows:
- Tuesday: 6:00-6:45pm - 1st graders
- Tuesday: 7:00-7:45pm - 2nd graders
- Wednesday: 6:00-6:45pm - Kindergartners
- Wednesday: 7:00-7:45pm - 3rd-5th graders
