Kiwanis Miracle League Field Opening Day

The Ankeny Kiwanis Club invites Chamber members to attend Opening Day of the Fall 2011 season of the Kiwanis Miracle League at Principal Park on Saturday, August 27th.

Ankeny Kiwanians will work the concession stand from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. as children with disabilities who otherwise could not play organized ball will do so throughout the morning and early afternoon at the Kiwanis Miracle League Field, located across from Principal Park.  

Anyone who has not seen the fully accessible, colorful rubberized field--or watched as children, including many from Ankeny, are helped by volunteer 'buddies' to bat, run, and field--will be amazed by the beautiful facility and the delight of the kids and families.
