Five Things for Friday in Ankeny: Basketball, Last Chance to See "Sing On!", Cheap Gas and More

1) Friday Night Hoops

On Friday, the Ankeny boys basketball teams will travel to Waukee for both 9th grade, 10th grade and varsity action. The games will be played at Waukee High School, located at 555 S.E. University Ave. Ninth grade plays at 4:45 p.m. followed by 10th grade at 6:15. The varsity game begins at 7:45 p.m.

2) Last Chance to Catch "Sing On!"

This weekend is your last chance to catch the Ankeny Community Theatre  production of "Sing On!". This production is the sequel to last year’s “Play On!” and is directed by Barb Wagner. The show is described as a comedy about a musical. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, as well as a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday. The show continues through Feb. 19. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens and $10 for kids.

3) Date Night

Catch a movie tonight at Springwood 9 Theatre in Ankeny. You can catch a complete listing of showtimes on the theater's website. General admission for adults is $8 per person.
