Friday's Ankeny Football Game to Raise Money for Miracle League Field
Friday night's game between the Ankeny Hawks and the Southeast Polk Rams offers a bonus attracting: raising money to build a ball field and playground for children with disabilities.

Friday night's football game between the Ankeny Hawks and the Southeast Polk Rams offers a bonus. Besides watching two top CIML team square off, those attending will raise money to build a playground for children with disabilities.
The Hawks host the Rams at 7 p.m. in a football game between rivals titled “Miracle League Night at Ankeny Stadium.”
To help the Ankeny Miracle League in fundraising efforts to construct a baseball field and playground designed and built specifically for children with disabilities, the AHS Athletic Department will donate $1 from every ticket sold to the football game, according to the Ankeny Schools website. Every person who purchases a ticket is donating $1 directly to the Miracle League.

In addition, Miracle League volunteers will be on-hand with renderings of the new field and to pass the bucket for donations at halftime.
Organizers' goal for the night is to raise more than $8,000 for the Miracle League.
