Get Your 2013 Ankeny Pet Licenses, Dog Park Passes Now

From a city of Ankeny news release:

The Ankeny City Clerk's Office is now issuing dog and cat licenses for calendar year 2013. Pet licenses are required for all dogs and cats. The license fee is $10 per pet and a certificate of rabies vaccination is required at time of application.

Annual Ankeny Dog Park passes are also being issued. The pass fee is $25 resident/$35 non-resident.  

The deadline for obtaining a pet license is March 31, 2013. Licenses may be purchased at City Hall or the Parks & Recreation Office between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. An application is also available online on the city's website. Forms and a copy of vaccination verification can then be mailed to City Hall for processing. A $1 postage fee per license is required for renewals by mail.   

For your convenience, new this year is the sale of pet licenses and dog park passes at the Ankeny Hy-Vee customer service counter.

Ankeny residents are allowed up to four dogs or four cats or a combination not exceeding four animals per household on any residentially zoned lot.
