Have You Heard of Chris Lane?

If you know who Trayvon Martin is, have you also heard of Chris Lane?

There's been a lot of media and activist hype around the Trayvon Martin case.  It was claimed to be such an outrage because of the racism involved.  Never mind the fact that the defense, the prosecution, and the FBI all said there was no racism involved.

So if you were upset about the supposed racism in that case, are you equally upset about the murder of Chris Lane?  He was murdered a few days ago, and the suspects are 2 black teens and a white teen who allegedly were just "bored".  Chris Lane was white, BTW.

So were the teens really "bored"?  Well, let's look at social media and see what the alleged shooter said:

  • “90% of white ppl are nasty. #HATE THEM.”
  • "With my n***** when it's time to start taken life's
  • Ayee I knocced out 5 woods since Zimmerman court!
There's lots more like that.  "Wood" is apparently a derogatory term for white people.  Clearly there is racial hate in him, clearly he was motivated by the Zimmerman trial.  So if you care about murders based solely on race, did you know about this case?  Is the media treating this case the same as the Zimmerman case?  Clearly not so far.

Some will claim that because one of the suspects is white that means the killing can't be because of race.  That's simply not true.  First of all, the white teen reportedly is not the one who pulled the trigger.  Second, people often get wrapped up in the emotion of an event (Zimmerman trial) and can get influenced to commit crimes like this because their friends pressure them into it.

There's also the WWII vet who was beaten to death just today in a parking lot by who black teens.

And there's also the case of David Santucci, who was murdered by a trio of black people

These are murders that appear to actually be motivated by race.  So why are the same activists pushing these cases like they did the Zimmerman case.  Could it be that it's not beneficial to their ability to raise money and increase their profile?  If they actually cared about addressing racism, why wouldn't they talk as much about these cases as they do ones where everyone involved said there was no racism?
