High Trestle Trail Vandals Sought By Ankeny Police Department
The cement dried overnight before the damage was found and will have to be replaced at a cost up to $75,000.

The Ankeny Police Department is seeking assistance in locating two suspects in regard to vandalism which occurred on the new extension of the High Trestle Trail in the 300 block of SW Ordnance Road.

On Friday, Oct. 2 at 6:26 p.m., an unidentified male and female rode their bicycles on the newly poured extension of the High Trestle Trail just east of the Ankeny Police Department. Footprints and tire tracks were left embedded on approximately 300 yards of partially dry cement. There was also writing in the cement prior to it drying (see photo). The cement dried overnight before the damage was found and will have to be replaced at a cost up to $75,000. There are no photographs of the suspects at this time.
