Homecoming Tailgate to Celebrate a Century of Ankeny Graduates

A pre-game tailgate on Sept. 21 will include food and first peek at the DVD "History of Ankeny Football."

A pre-game tailgate party prior to Ankeny's Sept. 21 homecoming game will celebrate 100 years of graduating classes of Ankeny High School, according to the district's website.

The event is sponsored by , the Ankeny Activities Office and the . 

The festivities will begin outside the stadium in the parking lot at 5 p.m. Sept. 21 and last until kick-off at 7 p.m.

Tickets cost $10 and will be sold in the AHS Activities Office the week of the game, or purchase a ticket at the tailgate party. The ticket provides entrance to, and food in, the tailgate party, admittance to the football game, and a special first peek of the new DVD, “History of Ankeny Football,” produced by Mike Higgins of Ankeny. 

All purchasers will receive reserved seating inside the stadium for the football game against the Johnston Dragons. All Ankeny alumni are invited to attend this event.
