Iowa High School Football Semifinals: Ankeny Hawks Advance to Class 4A Championship Game
The Hawks defeated rival Southeast Polk tonight, 28-12.

The Ankeny Hawks now only have one game separating them from a Class 4A state football championship.
The top-ranked Hawks took down rival Southeast Polk, 28-12, at the UNI-Dome tonight in the Iowa High School Football state semifinals. While Ankeny remains undefeated, the Rams closed out their season 10-3.
The game remained scoreless through most of the first quarter until Drew Carlson ran one in for the Hawks just before the end. In the second quarter, Sam Pickard picked up another touchdown to bring the score to 14-0.

By the end of the third, the score climbed to 21-6 before Carlson wrapped up the game with one last touchdown.
Next Friday, the Hawks will play the winner of tonight's semifinal game between Cedar Falls and Cedar Rapids Xavier. Winner of that game takes it all.
