Iowa High School Girls' Basketball State Tournament Results: Ankeny Defeats Cedar Rapids Washington in Quarterfinals
The Hawkettes move on to play either Southeast Polk or Muscatine on Friday morning.

The Ankeny Hawkettes are one step closer to claiming the first ever Class 5A Iowa High School Girls' Basketball state title.
The no. 2 Hawkettes met Cedar Rapids Washington this afternoon in the quarterfinal round of the state tournament, taking home a 66-58 victory.
Brittany Hedrick led the Hawkettes with 24 points total, followed by Jaali Winters with 17 and Madi Robson with 14.

Ankeny will move on to the semifinals to play the winner of the Southeast Polk/Muscatine matchup, which starts at 3:15 p.m. The game will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
