Iowa State Fair Schedule for Friday: 'Drops of Jupiter', Husband-Calling Contest and More

Each day of the fair, which runs Aug. 8-18, is packed with fun events for the entire family, and this day is no exception.

So to make your life easy, we'll be highlighting some of the best fair events each day. Take our word for it or check out the full calendar, but the point is – don't miss out.


Friday Grandstand Schedule

Since the release of their first, self-titled album in 1998, Train has produced five more records, including their 2001 release of Drops of Jupiter, which earned two Grammy awards as well as double-platinum status. The album’s title track, combined with other hit songs like “Meet Virginia,” “Get to Me” and “Hey Soul Sister,” has solidified a loyal fan following spanning nearly 20 years.
