Keaton McKinney Helps Team to Victory in Perfect Game All-American Classic
The Ankeny baseball player competed on the West Squad Sunday at Petco Park in San Diego.
Ankeny's Keaton McKinney represented our town Sunday by helping his team earn a win in the 11th annual Perfect Game All-American Classic in San Diego.
McKinney pitched for the West team, which walked away with an 8-6 victory over East, according to the Des Moines Register.Â
The game featured 50 of the nation’s top high school baseball players. McKinney was the only player to represent Iowa, the article said. The last Iowan to go played in 2004.
McKinney will be a senior at Ankeny Centennial this year.
