Leah Pieper, a native of Ankeny, is a 2013 graduate of Central College, majoring in political science and international studies-West European. Pieper earned a spot on the fall 2012 dean's list for Central College after studying in Paris, France with Central College Abroad. Pieper is the daughter of Albert and Dawn Pieper. The honor is awarded to full-time students who achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on a 4.0 scale while taking 12 or more graded credit hours for the semester. Central College is a residential liberal arts college dedicated to the education of 1,500 undergraduate students. Guided by its ecumenical Christian tradition, the college community engages in vigorous, free, open inquiry in pursuit of academic excellence. Founded in 1853, the college is affiliated with the Reformed Church in America and NCAA Division III athletics.
