Lenders, Housing Counselors and REALTORS®: Register Today for Under Construction: A Home Improvement Photo Contest!

The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) is excited to partner with the Iowa Mortgage Association (IMA), Iowa Association of REALTORS® (IAR) and the Iowa Home Ownership Education Project (IHOEP) to announce a fun, new social media campaign, Under Construction: A Home Improvement Photo Contest. Hurry, beginning June 1, IFA, IMA, IAR and IHEOP are asking mortgage lenders, housing counselors and REALTORS® to have their clients show what’s under construction at their home. Participants will be asked to write a word or short phrase that best describes their project and how it’s improving their home and creating pride in ownership. The participating lender, housing counselor or REALTOR® will send photos of the entries to the Iowa Finance Authority for inclusion in a Facebook contest. Whether it’s fulfilling Pinterest™ dreams, growing greens or decorating a room for baby – encourage your clients to be creative! The photos will be voted on by the public from July 1-14 on Facebook.com/MeaningofHomeownership. The entry with the most votes will receive a $2,500 gift card for their at-home project. Also, the lender/counselor and REALTOR® with the most combined votes will each receive a $2,500 community betterment grant, as well as publicity benefits.
