REPLAY: Ankeny Hawkettes Edge Out Southeast Polk in Semifinal Nail-Biter
The 22-3 Hawkettes defeated Southeast Polk 47-45 Friday afternoon in the semifinals of the Class 4A Girls State Basketball Tournament played at Wells Fargo Arena.
The top-ranked Southeast Polk Rams gave fourth-ranked Ankeny a run for their money Friday afternoon, but it wasn't enough to stop the Hawkettes from nabbing a victory in the final seconds of the Iowa State Girls Basketball Tournament semifinals.
Ankeny defeated Southeast Polk 47-45. The Hawkettes will move on to the championship game Saturday night, in which they come head-to-head with Iowa City West. The game starts at 8 p.m.
