The top-ranked Ankeny Hawks fell 21-3 to Sioux City East this afternoon in the Class 4A boys' state basketball semifinals, but the Hawks didn't go down without a fight.

The Black Raiders edged out Ankeny 60-56 in double overtime in a physical battle that ended with East's Adam Woodbury and three Ankeny starters fouled out, reported the Des Moines Register.
