More Burglaries, Drug Charges Top Ankeny Police Blotter for May 12

April 30

Jason D. Mitchell, 39, address unknown, was arrested on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop that occurred in the 4000 block of South Ankeny Boulevard.

Duwar Tailey, 26, Ankeny, was charged with driving with a revoked license following a traffic stop that occurred near the 1000 block of Southeast National Drive.

A 14-year-old juvenile was charged with assault causing bodily injury following an incident at 1302 N. Ankeny Blvd.

Police responded to the 400 block of Southwest Elm Street at approximately 9:15 p.m. following a report of an attempted burglary.

May 1

Alman M. Kenyon, 38, West Des Moines, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop that occurred in the 1100 block of East First Street.

Alec R. Steffes, 21, Ankeny, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop that occurred in the 1300 block of East First Street.

Police responded to the 400 block of Southwest State Street at approximately 5:26 a.m. following a report of a burglary.

Police responded to the 900 block of Northeast Kamies Lane at approximately 12:26 p.m. following a report of an attempted burglary.
