Nanette 'Joey' Beech New Executive Director of Ankeny Economic Development Corp.

The Ankeny Economic Development Corporation has a new executive director.

The group has hired Nanette "Joey" to replace Don Zuck, who announced early this year he planned to retire by the end of the year.

“We are grateful for the vision and leadership Don Zuck has provided the AEDC,” Jose Laracuente, chairman of the corporation, said in a news release. “Don has been instrumental in moving the AEDC forward and continues to be as he hands the baton to Joey.” 

Prior to joining AEDC, Beech spent more than 21 years in the financial services industry, according to the release. The majority of those years were with Principal Financial Group where she held a variety of marketing and operational positions. She and her husband, Doug, have been residents of Ankeny since 1993.
