Owner of Believe Hair Studio in Ankeny Loves Helping People Feel Their Best

Today, meet Ashley Rugerri, owner of Believe Hair Studio. This business, located at 326 S.W. Maple St., has been in Ankeny since July. Rugerri has been a stylist for four years.

Believe Hair Studio is open Tuesday through Saturday, and hours are set according to appointments.

Ankeny Patch: Tell us about your business. What do you specialize in?

Ashley Rugerri: Believe is a full-service hair salon specializing in cuts, colors, perms, styles, up-dos and facial waxing. Believe has prices affordable for the everyday person to look their best and not spend a lot.

What inspired you to start this business?

After coming out of cosmetology school and working for other people, I was eager to have my own place, styles and ideas.

Why Ankeny?

I was born and raised in Ankeny and have lived here my whole life. I think Ankeny is a great town and I always wanted to stay close to friends and family.

What makes your business unique and stand out above others?

High quality services for affordable prices, as well as the fun style of the salon. You won't find pink, glitter, sequins and animal print twisted with modern decor in any other salon in town!

What do you enjoy most about getting out of bed and doing this everyday?

I think your hair can completely alter the way you feel about yourself. There isn't a better feeling than knowing you helped somebody feel their best. Watching the smile on people's faces when they see their new hair and how excited they are is a great reward for me.
