Parkview Notes

Fall Conferences were October 2 and October 4.  If you did not attend your child’s conference, or need additional time with a specific teacher, please contact his/her advisory teacher to schedule an appointment.

Second session Expeditions will begin October 9.  Chinese, Set Production 1, Touch Rugby, Games Games Games, Ankeny Trail Biking and Diggin’ Archeology will offered this session.  Expeditions are $15 and students can stop in the office for registration forms.

Our first social will be Friday, October 12 from 5-7 p.m.  Cost is $7.

October 8 will be a day off of school for students.  Staff will have professional training in curriculum and professional practices.

Seventh grade science students were at Hawkeye Pond last week participating in water quality studies. The days focused around the big question “Is Hawkeye Pond Healthy?” Students collected many different types of organisms from the pond and then studied them in class.
