PHOTOS: Ankeny Students Get Messy in the Name of School Spirit
Ankeny students competed in teams Monday night in "AHS: Under the Lights" to show their school spirit during homecoming week. The event is one of many scheduled for students this week.
Ankeny students got plenty of pudding on Monday night.
At "AHS: Under the Lights," , students slipped and slid and tugged each other across tarps that were slick with chocolate pudding. Some got Cheetos thrown at the pudding on their faces but the messy competitions were all in good fun, a way to help students show their school spirit this homecoming week.
Jarrett Peterson, the Ankeny school distrcit's coordinator of communication and marketing said over 800 students participated in "this new found tradition of pudding."
