Pizza Ranch in Ankeny Opens Today

Ankeny's newest pizza place is opening its doors today.

Pizza Ranch, located at 201 S.E. Oralabor Rd., opens at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22. It features a dine-in buffet, carryout and delivery service and is the 71st Pizza Ranch to open its doors in Iowa.

"Pizza Ranch is known throughout the area as the community gathering place," Russ Weis, owner of Pizza Ranch in Ankeny, said in a press release. "We invite Ankeny residents to stop by and relax in a family-friendly environment, while enjoying fresh, great-tasting food and an exceptional dining experience."

Weis also owns Pizza Ranch in Story City and Ames.

Menu items will feature traditional Pizza Ranch favorites in addition to new feature pizzas and salads such as The Outlaw Pizza and Sundance Salad. With the "Buffet Your Way" concept, guests are encouraged to request their favorite pizza to be featured on the buffet and their first slice is delivered right to their table.

Pizza Ranch also is known for its community partnerships with local schools and organizations in fundraising activities and programs.

"Pizza Ranch has historically been community-oriented, and our goal is to become an integral part of the Ankeny neighborhood,” Weis said. “We look forward to partnering with Ankeny schools, church groups, sports teams and other local organizations to host fundraisers for each of their special events."
