Family Program: Geocaching with Polk County Conservation

This is a family program offered at the Ankeny library. Geocaching is a high-tech scavenger hunt using GPS.  Come learn the basics and try finding several geocaches hidden just around the library.

Riding RAGBRAI or heading down to West Des Moines Tuesday to welcome riders?

Valley Junction in West Des Moines will be throwing a RAGBRAI street party today as thousands of cyclists descend on the city. The party will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you're in Valley Junction today, make sure to stop by the Patch tent and say hi. Everyone will be there, and we're giving out Patch swag to those who want to sign up for our daily newsletter.
